Answer: ♥ 3 It is most unlikely that the lead is from the ace Therefore South has it, also with the queen and jack the correct lead would have been the queen. Our only hope is that north has led from a suit containing an honour plus the 9 of hearts. When south wins with the queen or jack and switches to another suit, we can win, take out trumps and then play a heart up to our king and 10. When north plays low we insert the 10 hoping that south has to win with the ace setting up our king for the 11th trick.
